SOLD - This exquisite French walnut enfilade from the mid-18th century features a slightly raised rectangular top with rounded edge on the surround over four dove tailed drawers and four doors. Each drawer is adorned with a paof of X-shaped carved motifs, beautifully echoed in the doors and the sides. Doubling these motifs on the doors allowed the cabinet maker to create diamond shaped patterns, also present on the side panels. The hand-forged iron hardware is original. With its majestic presence, lovely patina, elegant carved geometrical decor and spacious storage, this French Enfilade, circa 1750 would be a wonderful addiition to any living room or dining room, perhaps under a magnificent giltwood mirror or a large size painting.
